We recently came across these beauties at Lula B’s Antique/Trift Store on Greeville Ave. It’s a really fun place, fully of vintage furniture, household objects and well, a lot of over nick-nacks. A lot of the items seem to be from the 50-60s, an era we are very interested in, design-wise. So you can imagine our delight when we found these stacking plates designed by Massimo Vignelli. The original design is from 1964 and they are made of melamine. They won many awards and were once very popular as they were offered in many bright colors.

Hopefully our collection will expand in both size and color.

Ok. I am back again, again. To the small number of readers I still have, I apologize. There was an issue with commenting and I tried to fix it manually but that just made the blog appear blank. So finally I have gotten time to fix the problem and just start over with a new fresh template. Thanks for sticking around and I hope this will be the last hiccup.

It has definitely been a while since my last post. I have been busy though. Many life changing events have recently come my way. Graduating from college, getting married, honeymooning, moving to Dallas and starting a brand new job. It is a good enough excuse for me not to blog. However I did miss it. Sorely. Though I have recently been victim to massive spamming tactics. I recently changed the settings so that any  new comment had to be monitored by the administrator before appearing online. Well, today I checked and had nearly 13,000 pending comments. Holy cow. I am sorry if anyone’s legitimate comment request was deleted, but I had no choice but to go into my hosting server and empty them all. I have sense activated a new Askimet Plugin that will hopefully <crossing fingers> ward off any male enhancing or bank account transferring predators out there.

So anyway, I hope to be back. I have a number of posts to make since I last wrote. They obviously will not be in great detail. But I do feel they deserve being recorded. I also am unsure of the precise direction into which I hope this blog to venture. But I am sure it will develop into it’s own soon enough. New year resolutions do not have to start on the first of January, do they? When does the “new year” become the “present year” or the “now year” or even the “old year?” In terms of getting my blog up and running, my new year starts today, 08 February 2009. Happy New Year. <throws confetti>

Welcome to my new blog. I have had this webspace for about six months now, and thanks to the help of the nice people over at WordPress, I am maximizing its potential. While I don’t have a concrete plan on its usage, I’d like this blog to represent me and my daily thoughts, creations, and experiences. My previous blog was a success but has long been over. It is now time for me to re-enter the blogosphere (I missed it) and provide inisight on my life as well as share current activities personally and abroad.
